ABOUT THE QUICKENING

The Quickening is a modest sized studio located in Glasgow in central Scotland. We have a small permanent staff with wide ranging skills in model making, sculpting, moulding, painting and fabrics. This crew is augmented with a team of freelance professionals drafted in from around the UK as needed.

We undertake work as diverse as the creation of specifically textured dust to the construction of 46 foot dinosaurs. We are probably best known for our work with the original props and set pieces from the Alien films and their subsequent redeployment on the Alien War venues around the world.
